Finding Autumn in CA

Being transplants from New England, we were missing the vibrant colors of autumn. Luckily we found an adorable pumpkin patch at McClelland’s Dairy in Petaluma via a Groupon deal. We got out of the city in search of autumn and had a blast picking apples at Chileno Valley Ranch then pumpkins at McClelland’s (they also sell farm fresh butter!).

And if you’re looking for a recipe for those newly picked apples, try The Pioneer Woman’s scrumptious apple pie. It’s part pie, part crumble with a flaky crust and caramel-pecan goodness! I paired it with a homemade cinnamon whipped cream.
